A full-day adventure exploring La Leona Station in Corcovado National Park, led by a certified guide. Experience a high chance of spotting wildlife such as tapirs, scarlet macaws, monkeys, and other rainforest creatures, while enjoying stunning natural landscapes near the mountains.

Coastal and Secondary Forest Hike with Panoramic Views
The route combines coastal trails and sections of secondary forest, allowing visitors to enjoy ocean views and lush tropical vegetation.

Diverse Wildlife Sightings
During the hike, it’s common to see monkeys, sloths, exotic birds, tapirs, coatis, and many other Corcovado species.

Madrigal River Section / Hedionda Stream Area / Rest Moments in Nature
This tour includes stops by the Madrigal River and Hedionda Stream, where visitors can relax, enjoy the scenery, and even cool off in the water (depending on itinerary conditions).
Journey deep into Corcovado and uncover the untouched beauty of Costa Rica’s most iconic rainforest.
5:10 a.m. – Meeting Point (Monar Bakery)
- We’ll meet at Panadería Monar, where you can purchase a light breakfast or prepare your lunch for the day.
- If you wish, we can arrange a traditional Costa Rican lunch (additional cost). A delicious start to our adventure!
5:30 a.m. – Departure to Carate
- We leave from Puerto Jiménez towards the town of Carate. Along the way, we’ll have the opportunity to enjoy stunning landscapes and perhaps spot some local wildlife.
7:30 a.m. – Hike to La Leona Ranger Station
- Begin your hike along beaches and rainforest trails. Every step offers a new opportunity to observe the unique flora and fauna of Corcovado National Park.
9:00 a.m. – Arrival at La Leona Station
- We’ll take a short rest and refill our water bottles. Then, the guided walk through the park begins, where you can marvel at monkeys, scarlet macaws, coatis, tapirs, and many other rainforest inhabitants. There will be stops for photos, hydration, and to simply enjoy the surroundings.
11:30 a.m. – Lunch in Nature
- Enjoy a well-deserved lunch surrounded by the sounds of the tropical forest.
12:00 p.m. – Return to Carate
- We’ll start our walk back, once again taking in the beauty of Corcovado’s trails and beaches.
2:00 p.m. – Transfer to Puerto Jiménez
- Return trip by land to Puerto Jiménez, sharing stories and memories from the day’s adventure.
3:30 p.m. (approx.) – Arrival in Puerto Jiménez
- End of the tour — carrying with us the magic of Corcovado and unforgettable moments in nature.

Requirements & Restrictions
No minimum age.
Restrictions: Not recommended for people with knee/back problems.
We recommend you bring:
Walking shoes or sneakers, insect repellent, sunscreen, water shoes, drinking water, hat or cap, comfortable clothing, and sunglasses.

Sharp or pointed items (blades, knives, scissors).
Any smoking items (strictly prohibited)
Any type of plastic.
